There’s even a spot on the bottom of the spool where you can write the name of the fabric in case you need to buy and make more! I designed and cut these paper spools myself using a precision cutting machine to ensure a premium, clean finish.
This listing includes one set of 6 binding spools, cut from premium, 300 gsm kraft cardstock, and wrapped with fabric scraps for a cute and functional presentation.
Why paper? Why can't these be made from plastic? Truthfully, we already have so many notions in our sewing rooms that are made from plastic. This product serves its intended purpose without posing an additional burden to our planet. These binding spools can be recycled and will naturally breakdown. So why not paper?
Each spool measures approximately 4” wide by 3.25” tall. The inner spool width is approximately 1.25”. Binding shown in photos is single fold binding measuring approximately 1.125” wide (made from 2.25” strips), but should also accommodate single fold binding up to 1.25” wide.
